Its been a while since my last post. been real busy with end of year exams and riding loads lately. had my last exam for the year on thursday for sport management. dunno how it went really. i only started studying for it the morning of the exam. all good though. last weekend was round 3 of the QWA tour which was held at the lake i usually ride at, lake joyda. it is a sick spot in the middle of a couple of hills. we had a fully loaded VLX as the official tow boat. I didn’t ride too good in the qualifying and got beat by a girl, (in my defense she could throw down!) but i rode a bit better in the finals beating her and ending up coming 3rd. not too happy with it but the 2 guys that beat me were grabbing everything and looking super styley out on the water. other than that i’ve been working on getting back some crow mobes and back mobes but nothing but back edges so far it’s been a while since i’ve landed either of them. anyway i got some of the photos that junior took a couple of months back. they look prety good but we are going to need to do another session. here are a couple for now. peace

Last weekend was the UQ ski club semester 2 houseboat trip. where the uni wakeboard club hires out two 12 person house boats for the weekend, beings down the two club boats and have an awesome weekend. the friday afternoon everyone is just arriving thoughout the day so it is pretty quiet, we set up the kicker that Davis and Monro built so that it would be ready for saturday. on friday night everyone had a good time and we cut open some glow sticks and painted the inside of one of the boats with glow. saturday was just a load of riding and barbecueing all day with a costume party at night. the theme was what I want to be when i grow up. I went as a fire man. not that i want to be a fire man but i had a cool costume. there was a stripper pole dance off (i didn’t do so good) and lots of Yukka. all the makings of a good night. same thing as saturday on the boats on sunday. just lots of riding and barbecueing with the addition of a blow up swimming pool on the river (filled with river water, it wasn’t as pointless as it sounds)

no one seems to be keen to ride this week and jordys boat is getting serviced so i guess no riding til the weekend. but i am still waiting for the sick sunset sillouette photos the jr took so they should be up next post.

Yo all, Round one of the Queensland Wakeboard Association comepetition was held this weekend at Sommerset Dam. The Uni wakeboard club had semester 2 camping trip at Lake Moogerah the same weekend so I had to miss out on that. There wasn’t a massive turn out but there was still around 30 competitors. The tournament tow boat was a VLX. Harley Clifford, Jared and Mitch Askew were there busting out 9’s as their first trick. Was a cool weekend, I ended up getting 2nd in the semi-advanced division which is 8 inverts or spins of 540 or more. I’m heading back to HK on Friday and back to Aus on the 5th of October. Round 2 is the following weekend which is up at Lake Kurwongbah on the 11th so i don’t know how much time on the water I’m going to get before the next contest but we’ll just have to see how it goes.

Davis, Jo and I hit the water yesterday afternoon at around 4:30 Jo managed to get some sick photos of my set with the sunset in the background, check them out. A fully loaded boat, glassy water and a beautiful sunset isn’t a bad set up for a sweet afternoon.

Yo, In what city is it 30 degrees and not a single cloud in the sky. beautiful glassy lake in the middle of a valley. sick crew and a loaded boat. all this put together makes one awesome day. this all came together last saturday when we went out on matt’s boat at lake joyda. didn’t really try anything new just practicing my set for the first stop of the QWA tour which is up at sommerset dam. sommerset dam is also where the Uni wakeboard club have the christmas camping trip over 4 days. last saturday was awesome. all nine of us got out on the water and we were sitting in the beautiful sunshine from 10 to about 4. same thing happening this saturday. I’ll stick some photo up here after riding this saturday where agian is is ment to be perfect riding conditions. take it easy. peace

woop woop, this blog thing is pretty hard to use. after 4 days of asking people how to use word press i think i have finally got it sorta figured out. It is winter down here in brisbane and is pretty cold, so haven’t really be doing much riding lately, usually once or twice a week, it has been kinda hard putting a crew together when it is cold but it should warm up soon. so instead some friends and I have been building a winch park. I’ll post some photos of the park up soon. we have a flat bar, a up down and a 45 degree wall ride. sweet! this sunday is the first day that my uni wakeboard club will be running of the semester so should be pretty busy with lots of new people to meet. again, once i figure out how to post photos I will upload some.
